A Michigan charity
Do Good,
Help People.
When you need us, we’re there. The Community Welfare Service is a charity based in Michigan — from roadside help on the highway to Christmas presents for families having a hard year.

Our mission is simple…
Helping out is the best thing we do. We show up for our neighbors in the small, unglamorous moments — a dead battery on the shoulder of the highway, an empty spot under the tree, a person trying to find their footing again.
The Community Welfare Service is a charity based in Michigan. We provide many services ranging from transient rehabilitation to our highway courtesy patrol.
What We Do
Three ways we show up.
- 01
Highway Courtesy Patrol
Roadside help for Michigan drivers who are stranded, out of fuel, or waiting alone for a tow — no charge, no questions asked.
Active program
- 02
Christmas Wish
Free Christmas presents, small home repairs, and holiday financial assistance for parents who are struggling. Nominate someone who deserves it — our board reviews every request while funds last.
Seasonal — nominations open in the fall
- 03
Transient Rehabilitation
Practical, one-person-at-a-time support for neighbors without stable housing: getting documents in order, reaching services, and taking the next step back.

We can only do this with the help of people like you.
Give
Every dollar goes straight into a program. Funds are granted to the people our board judges most in need, while they last.
DonateVolunteer
Courtesy Patrol runs on people with a vehicle, a jump box, and a couple of free hours. Tell us what you can offer.
